Admission is selective and based on UTR level, work ethic, coachability, competitive mindset, and coach discretion — not age alone. This program is for athletes willing to train with intensity, discipline, and purpose every day.

This program is for athletes willing to train with intensity, discipline, and purpose every day.
Elite Academy Standards
All GO PRO ACADEMY athletes are expected to:
- Train with maximum intensity and focus at all times
- Demonstrate professional behavior, discipline, and respect on and off court
- Be highly coachable and accountable for preparation and performance
- Maintain exceptional attendance and punctuality
- Commit fully to on-court training, mandatory fitness sessions, tournament competition, and holistic athlete development
Holistic Athlete Development Approach
GO PRO ACADEMY follows a holistic approach to high-performance development, recognizing that elite tennis performance extends beyond the court.
When required and appropriate, the program offers access to additional professional support, including:
- Physiotherapy for injury prevention, management, and return-to-play support
- Nutrition guidance to support growth, training demands, recovery, and performance
- Mental coaching to develop focus, confidence, emotional control, resilience, and competitive mindset
These services are integrated to support the athlete’s overall development and long-term well-being. Engagement with holistic support staff may be recommended or required based on coach evaluation, physical demands, or individual performance needs.
Mandatory Physical Preparation & Fitness Training
Physical preparation is a required component of the GO PRO ACADEMY program. All athletes must participate in structured fitness sessions scheduled before or after squad training as determined by the coaching staff.
Fitness training includes:
- Speed, agility, and explosive movement
- Strength development and injury prevention
- Tennis-specific endurance and conditioning
- Mobility, recovery, and athletic durability
Attendance, effort, and attitude during fitness sessions are evaluated as part of each athlete’s overall performance review.
Selection, Placement & Review
- UTR is used as a guideline for initial placement
- Final admission, placement, and advancement are determined by coach discretion
- Admission and progression are earned, not guaranteed
Players are reviewed regularly based on effort, attitude, performance, fitness compliance, and holistic development engagement

The HOT SHOTS Program is the foundation of our Tennis Coaching pathway, designed for young players to learn the sport, develop skills, and have fun on the court.
At Royal South Yarra, we believe kids learn best when they are enjoying the game. Effort, focus, and a positive attitude are expected, but fun comes first.

1. Eligibility
- Adult Groups/Squads are open to players aged 18 and above.
- Players are grouped according to skill level to maintain balanced and competitive sessions.
- Beginners are encouraged to join introductory squads to build foundational skills.
2. Group/Squad Levels
- Beginner: New to tennis or limited experience; focus on basic strokes, footwork, and rules.
- Intermediate: Players with solid fundamentals aiming to improve technique, consistency, and match play.
- Advanced: Experienced players looking to refine skills, tactics, and participate in competitive matches and tournaments.

3. Cardio Tennis
Cardio Tennis is a high-energy, fitness-focused tennis session designed to combine tennis drills with cardiovascular exercise. It is suitable for players of all abilities and is a great complement to Adult Squads.

- Personalized feedback and targeted goal setting
Private lessons allow for deeper individual attention and are structured to align with the athlete’s current training phase, competitive schedule, and long-term development plan.
